ARIEL premium de-alcoholised wines from California are the only de-alcoholised wines to win gold medals in open competition against wines with alcohol. They are produced from premium grapes, fully fermented in the traditional way and the alcohol is removed by gentle cold filtritation technology. ARIEL is the US market leader, making fine de-alcoholised wines since 1986. ARIEL premium de-alcoholised wines retain all of the characteristics of fine wine except those related to alcohol.

History

ARIEL is a pioneer in producing award winning de-alcoholised wines. Since the first commercial production in 1985, ARIEL has gained recognition from the world's leading wine critics and connoisseurs alike when their ARIEL Blanc wine was awarded the Gold Medal at the Los Angeles County Fair in 1986 in a blind tasting against wines with alcohol. Before this recognition, de-alcoholised wines were said to not have the same quality as alcoholic wines. However, ARIEL proved this notion untrue, and since then, they have gone on to win acclaim and numerous awards in competitions against alcoholic and de-alcoholised wines throughout the world.

ARIEL has come a long way since its inception in 1985. ARIEL is now a division of J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines. Production has increased from 5,000 cases in its first vintage to over 120,000 cases available in 22 countries. ARIEL Wines include Rouge, Blanc, Chardonnay, White Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Brut Cuvee.

RED

ARIEL De-Alcoholised Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is fermented and aged in the traditional red wine method: fermentation in stainless steel cooperage on the skins at temperatures above 75 F (24 C). After fermentation, the wine is separated from the skins and a portion is moved into a combination of French and American oak barrels for extended aging. Just prior to bottling, the alcohol is gently removed by cold filtration.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon offers all of the benefits of a red wine, with less than half of one percent alcohol. The grapes are grown in regions of California known for producing high quality fruit: San Luis Obispo and San Joaquin County areas.
