Richard Juhlin Blanc de Blancs Premium De-alcoholised sparkling white wine
From renowned champagne connoisseur and wine critic, Richard Juhlin, comes a truly exceptional French sparkling non-alcoholic white wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes.
Richard Juhlin, in partnership with Oddbird International from Gothenburg in Sweden, develop, produce and distribute a wide range of premium non-alcoholic wines. This Blanc de Blancs has a well balanced freshness, crispy acid and beautiful notes of lime and green apples.
This wine is stored in small oak casks for a short time and then de-alcoholised using a gentle patented method that leaves the wines’ natural aroma and character intact. This is an excellent and rare high-quality, non-alcoholic sparkling white wine from France.
UK wine critic Jonathan Reeve writes in his regular My Recommendations: “0% alcohol. A traditional-looking label, champagne-style cork, muzzle and the all-important ‘pop’ on opening, this drink carrying the name of Sweden’s most famous champagne writer suggests itself for alcohol-free celebrations. The wine has a lemony pale straw colour and sufficiently persistent fizz to look the part. Although it’s a little light on flavour, there are clear signs of lemon and green apple and a faint tinge of straw, which contribute to the overall refreshment. Acidity is moderate, as is palate weight.
